Join us for an exciting showcase of the design talent in Birmingham and the West Midlands at our graphic exhibition FORWARD THINKING.
34 designers, artists and illustrators from our fair city and the region have come together to produce artwork celebrating how design will move forward and shape our future in Birmingham. The exhibition will take place in Medicine Bakery and Gallery on New Street, in the festival’s graphic design district. Medicine’s first floor Victorian space, previously home to the Royal Society of Birmingham Artists, is the perfect venue for this unique and thought provoking exhibition.

Meet the artists and celebrate the official opening of Birmingham Design Festival on the evening of Wednesday 6 June. As we prepare for 4 days of design festivities, the team behind BDF2018 will open the doors of Medicine and invite you to preview this exciting exhibition.
Complemented by savoury and sweet treats from artisan bakers Medicine and the festival’s very own beer, brewed in collaboration with Brum Brewing Co.
