As part of Birmingham Design Festival 2019, LoveLetters are offering a workshop focusing on typography and creative exploration. The workshop will give you a new appreciation of letterforms and signage; as well as an understanding of typographic terminology.
You will choose a letter from the alphabet, and, you’ll be tasked with finding letterforms in the urban environment. In the print room, you will reproduce your letters through drawing and relief printing (lino-cutting), which you’ll take home as a one-off print.
We supply all of the materials, just bring along a camera (or phone) to document the letters on the walk. No prior experience or drawing skills are necessary.
