Designing the future through food
Lara Hanlon
Founder, Director at Portion Collaborative
Food, like air and water, is crucial to our survival. Food brings us together; it is a vessel for stories and culture and nourishment. From the birth of fire to 3D printed steaks, food is a driver of human imagination and technological advancements. But food is also a major contributor to today’s climate crisis and is being used as a weapon of mass destruction, wiping out species and harming communities across the world.
During this talk, Lara Hanlon — Founder, Director at Portion Collaborative — will uncover some of the complexities of our global food system and celebrate how creativity and technology can be used to flip the food industry on its head for a better future.
