Inspired by the bold visual language and uplifting philosophy of Corita Kent, this hands on workshop invites participants to create vibrant typographic prints exploring themes of hope, joy and collective expression.
Using sublimation print techniques on fabric, participants will design and print a personalised tote bag to take home, as well as collaborate on a large scale banner piece that will be displayed in the atrium at BCU’s Parkside building following the workshop.
Alongside practical making the session will offer insight into Corita Kent’s influential practice and her use of text, colour, and activism through print.
The workshop will be led by Nellie Scott, Executive Director of the Corita Art Center, alongside textile print practitioner John Hall.
