Who can volunteer?
If you’re over 18 and have an interest in supporting the festival and creative events in Birmingham then volunteering is definitely for you. We need you to be on hand for at least 8 hours (total) between 5th and 9th June, as well as for some training sessions in April. We see volunteering as a great opportunity for students but equally this gig is for anyone who wants to be involved and has a good work ethic.
What does volunteering involve?
You’ll be on hand to check-in guests, look after speakers, help with the venue set up and generally be a friendly face around the festival to be a point of information for attendees. You’ll get to meet some amazing designers, sit in on some incredible talks and generally be a part of something awesome.
The volunteer team operates in shifts so as not to overwork you lovely people and make sure you can catch some of the festival. Food is also provided and we’ll make sure we look after you.
Is there any training involved?
Yes! Once we’ve finished the application process we’ll be getting in touch with everyone to let them know the next step. Training sessions will be held in April and May, gearing up for the festival in June.
