Rosemarie Fitton

Rosemarie teaches on undergraduate modules in Interior Design, having joined DMU as a full time member of the Interior Design team in September 2011. She is also the Founder and Creative Director of Faber, an interior design practice based in Leicester, Birmingham and London, working across the UK primarily within the hospitality, leisure and private healthcare sectors.

The company also specialises in the design of spiritual environments and were responsible for the interiors of the new Swaminarayan Hindu Temple in Leicester, the second largest Hindu Temple in the UK.

Rosemarie is also a nominated member of the Leicester Council of Faiths and has recently completed an MA in Inter-religious Relations to further support her interest and work in the field of designing sacred/spiritual buildings and interiors. She has recently introduced a new pathway within one of the Interior Design course modules on the Design of Spiritual Environments, passing on her specialist area of interest and knowledge to the next generation of designers. Her key research interests are the design of spiritual environments, including multi-faith space and life-long learning in the design industries.
