Mohammed Ali
Artist
Mohammed Ali is an award-winning artist, curator and the visionary founder of Soul City Arts, established in 2008. With over two decades as a street artist, he transforms public spaces into powerful platforms for storytelling, using art to spark dialogue and inspire change.
Blending faith, identity and social justice, Ali’s work reclaims walls and cityscapes as living canvases – bold, thought-provoking and deeply human. His art occupies space and builds bridges, connecting communities across cultural, religious and ethnic divides.
Through Soul City Arts, a global organisation rooted in Birmingham, Ali has brought together a growing network of artists, activists and communities. From his arts centre, ‘Port Hope’, he leads dynamic programmes and creative interventions that challenge, unite and uplift.
