Michael Carr has 15 years experience as a product designer and has won numerous awards for his work, including both Red-Dot and iF awards. He has worked across various industries, including lifestyle, homewares, electronics and fashion before focusing his career towards watch design, where he has been responsible for designing collections for a variety of high profile brands from Braun to Vivienne Westwood, and has worked alongside esteemed product designer, Dietrich Lubs.
Michael began working with Uniform Wares in 2010, a year after its launch and took over as Creative Director in 2017. He has been instrumental in creating the aesthetic behind Uniform Wares’ collections and is responsible for the design and development of all Uniform Wares product output, as well as managing it’s global production network. His goal now is to build on what the brand has created and continue to push the envelope of what a lifestyle brand can be in this post digital age we are entering, in the field of watches and beyond.
Michael Carr was born in the green suburbs on the border between London and Kent and spent his early years living in both the U.S. and UK. After completing a BA in Product Design at Bournemouth University, he worked in Birmingham for a couple of years before returning to London, where he is now lives and works.
