Cat Phillipps

Artist

Cat trained and worked as a printer in London from 1997 but then pursued an art practice in collaboration with Peter Kennard in response to the invasion of Iraq in 2003.

Famous for their public interventions and social discourse using photomontage, extreme print technique, painting and installation, art critic Jonathon Jones, wrote of their work Photo Op “it has become the definitive work of art about the war that started with the invasion of Iraq in 2003.”

They exhibit in solo and group shows, accept public and private commissions, run public workshops and produce visual work for publications.

Cat lives and works in Hackney, East London.
