BankerWessel started out as a collaboration between illustrator Jonas Banker and graphic designer Ida Wessel. The work can best be described as a fruitful marriage between the two. The Stockholm-based studio now engages a team of five designers, all with their roots in art and illustration. With extensive experience in linking art and commerce by creating visual identities, exhibition design, publications and digital media, they have served clients like IKEA as well as world-renowned museums, artists and photographers for more than two decades. The studio is the creative minds behind the graphics for Fotografiska, a fast-expanding destination devoted to photography with venues in Stockholm, Tallinn and New York City, soon opening in Berlin, Miami and Shanghai.
