We’re delighted to welcome Birmingham City Football Club as a new partner for BDF 2026
Birmingham City Football Club underline their commitment to championing creative talent in the city by coming on board as District Partner for 2026.
Birmingham City Football Club is proud to announce its sponsorship of Birmingham Design Festival as a District Partner, underlining the Club’s commitment to championing creative talent in the city.
As Blues continues to rise under owners Knighthead Capital Management, it is committed to recognising the communities helping drive Birmingham forward.
Birmingham is in our name and we are now looking to find new ways to go deeper into the fabric of the city, especially in the dynamic creative communities that exist and find new ways to connect, create opportunities and tell these stories on a global stage.
Looking ahead to the development of the Sports Quarter and future Powerhouse Stadium, the Club sees a major opportunity to work alongside the arts and design community to help shape spaces and experiences that reflect the city’s identity.
Through its sponsorship of BDF, the Club hopes to help uncover and nurture emerging talent and create new opportunities for local creatives.
Liam MacManus, Chief Marketing Officer at Birmingham City FC said:
“The city is home to some of the most exciting creative talent in the UK and as a Club, we believe it’s important to support and help create opportunities for them to thrive.
“This sponsorship of this event is part of a bigger journey for us. The Club is moving in an exciting new direction and there is real momentum around what we are building, not only in football, but in how we connect with the city. We see meaningful and exciting opportunities to work with local creative talent. Supporting Birmingham Design Festival connects us with the best in the city and is a natural fit for that ambition.
“We want to bring together sport and creativity in a way that reflects modern Birmingham.”
