Purposely Accidental: Looking for creativity in the cracks of the everyday

Creativity thrives on failures and mistakes so is there such a thing as failures and mistakes? Or are they merely poorly written sign posts on a scenic route to creative fulfillment? Is it possible to achieve creative fulfillment? Do you care if there is? Do I care? Does anyone care? Why is my left foot bigger than my right foot and why are my ears getting hairier? Are you still reading this? Hello? Anyone?
Ben Newman, co-creator of professor Astro Cat, discusses the methods and disciplines to find creativity in the cracks of the everyday and how 7 years working behind a counter in a bookshop, a bad review from someone he admired, and a childhood obsession with cats turned into an unintentional career in Children’s book publishing.

His practice extends outside of commercial work into worldwide exhibitions, paintings and three dimensional collaborations.
