‘Made You Look’ with intro from Ben the Illustrator
Made You Look is a documentary which sets out to explore the landscape of the commercial arts in the 21st Century. It’s a film that gives an insight into how modern creative people feel about the challenges and triumphs of living in a hyper digital age.
The film will be introduced by Ben O'Brien (aka Ben the Illustrator who features in the documentary) giving a brief history of his own career and the graphic arts scenes and industries he's been inspired by or worked in over the passed 20 years. Ben started working in independent music videos for Skint Records, Channel 4 and Playstation later becoming part of a small animation and design studio and eventually settling on illustration in 2005. Since then he has illustrated ad campaigns for Smart Cars in Europe and the US and Berri Fruit Juice in Australia, he has built up a strong roster of editorial clients including regular slots in The New York Times and The Guardian and illustrated on everything from t-shirts to wallpaper and street signs to coffee packaging.
