The Jointworks is a brand new co-working and events space, officially opening in the heart of Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter in June 2022.

Not only will it be a hub specifically for the creative community of Birmingham to work together, but it will also be the new permanent base for Birmingham Design’s very own Luke Tonge and Daniel Alcorn and the location of our new BD shop.

You can find The Jointworks on Albion Street, just a few minutes stroll from the iconic St Paul’s Square. It’s a spacious, giant three storey block covering 10,000 sq ft. When it opens it will offer a range of options including offices to lease and co-working facilities for those who wish to visit more sporadically, either popping in for a day or taking a monthly subscription. There will be capacity for more than 100 creatives, plus space fully geared up to host events.

Founder Andy Hartwell is involved in several Jewellery Quarter-based web development, technology and marketing agencies called Substrakt, Substrakt Health and Impakt which will all relocate to The Jointworks once the careful and sympathetic £1 million renovation/restoration has been completed on the beautiful heritage building.

As a new partner for this year we spoke to Andy about why he felt it was a good fit for The Jointworks to come on board this year…
