Digbeth joins BDF 2019 as Digital District Partner

Posted on:

We are very excited for our Digital District hub to be in the heart of Digbeth for this year’s festival.

Digbeth is a growing neighbourhood of friendly, creative people in Birmingham’s former industrial heartland. This is a neighbourhood with limitless potential – and its fearless inventive spirit is something worth celebrating. Above all, Digbeth is a community. People know each other by name and greet one another on the street. A neighbourhood of free spirits, creators and thinkers who fall squarely outside the mainstream. Individuality is celebrated here.

Digbeth offers work space of all scales; they are home to 300+ businesses from startups to established businesses, artists to light industry. Life goes on after work hours in Digbeth, with cosy bars, historic pubs, music venues and a burgeoning food scene.

“Birmingham Design Festival reflects so many of our core values; collaboration and sharing ideas are the crux of what makes Digbeth such an inspiring and innovative place. Supporting the festival’s inspiring programme of events and talks for this year seemed such a natural fit. We’re genuinely proud to support the team and welcome creatives from across the region and UK to the Custard Factory for Birmingham Design Festival 2019”

Sara Bremner – Head of Events & Communications
