Following on from the success of the inaugural Birmingham Design Festival, homegrown creative agency McCann Birmingham return as main sponsors for 2019. Last year, McCann offered the chance to win a job within their Creative Team, accepting 130 second pitches from anyone eager to land a job at the UK’s largest integrated agency.
The McCann team successfully filled all of its 53 available pitch slots as established and aspiring creatives of all ages grabbed the chance to demonstrate their creativity. Following an intensive three days of speed pitches, the McCann Birmingham panel appointed BCU graduate, Emily Caplan, to the role of Junior Designer.
Chris Robertson, Executive Creative Director at McCann Birmingham, says:
“It was so important for us to help launch Birmingham Design Festival last year. Birmingham is so often overlooked from a creative standpoint, and last year really helped shine a light on what an incredible wealth of talent the region has to offer. Not only was it an incredible success for the region, but for us as an agency.”
Key members of McCann Birmingham staff will be present throughout the festival, including a talk from Managing Director of Innovation, Jacob Dutton.
