Using mood boards, concept sketches and behind-the-scenes anecdotes, Émilie will talk about subverting stereotypes, developing a distinctive style by working around her perceived weaknesses as a designer, and how going beyond the brief landed her a dream job at the National Theatre.

Émilie is an independent French graphic designer and art director who specialises in key arts, posters and book covers. Her passion lies in translating complex stories and abstract concepts into striking visuals – either through bold graphic illustrations, or in collaboration with talented photographers and illustrators.
She has worked in-house at the National Theatre and Penguin Books, and her clients list includes the Barbican, the Young Vic, the Almeida Theatre, the Henry Moore Foundation and Wimbledon.
