Changing the narrative

Fuse Birmingham will be collaborating with DOS82 aka David O Springer to host a screen printing workshop all about changing the narrative. In an industry where minorities struggle to feel heard, stories can often be altered or misunderstood by others. We believe the way to bring about change, is to change who’s telling the story. Through creating our own narratives, others are able to resonate on a more personal level, and have a deeper understanding of why change is needed. This workshop aims to promote not just creativity, but growth and positive change within the community itself.

In this workshop, attendees will screen print onto a T-shirt/tote bag choosing between a variety of designs (already exposed and developed on a screen) predesigned by creatives from the Fuse community, aligning with the theme of ‘Change’. David will also be discussing his journey to becoming a screenprinter and not only how the industry has changed overtime, but how we can be the ones to further implement change too.
