Creative Freedom – Staying Playful

It took me 6 years of working as an animation director to realise it was OK to like other stuff as much as animation. Since then I’ve made a point of being playful and curious with all my projects – spreading into different mediums and exploring new techniques. I’ve never found my job as engaging as when I give myself creative freedom. I’m going to chat about how I keep my curiosity peaked, why I stopped bothering with consistency, and how launching a shoe brand (by making rugs, vases, animations and nail art) changed the way I think about being a creative.
