Eye Magazine return as Media Partner for BDF2025

The world renowned magazine for graphic design and visual culture come on board once again as Media Partner for this year’s festival.

Eye is the leading magazine for graphic design and visual culture. Beautifully printed and produced, it is read and collected all over the world. The title is owned by the people who make it: editor John L. Walters and art director Simon Esterson.

Eye has been enthralling and inspiring its professional and student readers for three-and-a-half decades. Every issue features well researched and illustrated articles on design, typography,
photography, illustration, digital media, artificial intelligence, graphic design history and graphic arts of all kinds. Plus extensive reviews and Rick Poynor’s regular Critique.

Eye’s articles are written by highly regarded journalists, specialists, academics … and designers who like to write. The magazine’s readers and subscribers – mainly professional designers, educators and students – are serious about the practice of graphic design and curious about the wider world of visual culture. Eye is always looking for fresh perspectives and voices: new writers are welcome.

Eye has featured some of the designers speaking at this year’s festival, including Malika Favre, Liza Enebeis (Eye 100) and Chris Clarke; and recent issues have covered urgent contemporary topics in overviews about Covid-19 infographics (Eye 101), motion design (Eye 104), multi-script typefaces (Eye 106), and AI (Eye 107).

Eye describes itself as ‘the world’s most beautiful and collectable graphic design journal, read by professional designers, design students and anyone interested in critical, informed writing about
design and visual culture.’
