Design Can come on board as Media Partner for BDF 2024

Design Can be more representative of the world it serves. That’s we are delighted to have Design Can on board this year. Find out how they are disrupting the status quo, celebrating new voices and telling untold stories.

Design Can is a non-profit helping shift the power balance in the creative industry to be truly inclusive and representative.

We do this by giving visibility to individuals, organisations and campaigns that contribute to making the design industry more inclusive. Design Can opens conversations around equity and inclusion and inspire industry leaders to commit and make their workplaces exemplars of the values they stand for.

Since launching in 2019, Design Can’s steering committee of industry professionals have shaped our mission and activities. We are a limited company with a charitable purpose. Run on a largely volunteer basis, Design Can’s first paid employee, a part-time project manager, joined in June 2021.

We have worked with the Victoria & Albert Museum, London Design Festival, Crafts Council, Wellcome Collection, Design Council and many others.

“Set in Europe’s youngest city, and dedicated to supporting the city’s budding creative community, we are proud to support the Birmingham Design Festival which is an important platform for diverse creative voices and we will work with the festival to amplify the voices of people pushing for change.”
