We are delighted to welcome Kainos as a Supporter for this year’s festival.

Here’s a few words of introduction from Kainos…

We’re Kainos. We’re a UK-headquartered provider of digital services and platforms for public and private sector customers around the world. Our team is 1,300 strong. Over the last few years we’ve been growing and expanding, and our Experience Design capability is currently going from strength to strength.

At Kainos we work together towards one vision: to enable outstanding people to create digital solutions that have a positive impact on people’s lives.

We enable clients to deliver the right thing, the right way, and for the right reasons. From research and content, to interaction design and experience design, we’ve been developing the breadth and depth of skills to deliver digital products that answer user needs and meet business objectives. Combining design expertise with wider technical capabilities, we work quickly and collaboratively to turn insights, concepts and designs into practical solutions.

We believe in user-centred design combined with a pragmatic approach – enabling us to build the right product that also meets your business objectives. By following a user-centred approach, we make sure we deliver services that are inclusive and meet users’ needs, expectations and behaviours. User research and insights allow us to understand these and define appropriate solutions.

The projects we work on make a real difference, and that’s what makes us special. It’s work that we’re proud of. It’s inspiring, challenging – and rewarding. We believe in giving back to our communities too. Our people dedicate their time and resources to help to create and run pioneering social outreach initiatives through our own charitable outreach programme, a ground-breaking programme that helps thousands of young people improve their digital skills. Last year we donated over 1000 days of staff time and more than £100,000 to charitable causes.

Nick Harewood, UX Design Lead, Birmingham said

“We’re delighted to support the amazing Birmingham Design Festival for the first time this year. The energy, vibrancy and diversity of the Birmingham design and tech communities is one of the reasons we decided to open our latest hub in the city and having the opportunity to sponsor the design festival is one of the ways we are glad to contribute to the community that has been so welcoming.”
