Announcing our main events

We’re delighted to announce our key headline events for the festival as we prepare for tickets to go on sale later this month.

The much anticipated events will feature a host of world renowned designers, print-makers, graphic artists, advertising maestros, UI aficionados, illustrators and animators, and will be held in some of the city’s most impressive and innovative venues across the festival’s three Design Districts.

An Evening Extravaganza of Printed Passion!

Thursday 7th June – Birmingham Repertory at 7pm

The festival will kick off on Thursday with An Evening Extravaganza of Printed Passion! the first of three very special ensemble evening events in the Graphic District. The opening night features four practising designers who represent the very cream of the crop, and have a passion for print: Rejane Dal Bell, Craig Oldham, Astrid Stavro and Anthony Burrill.

This event will be held at Birmingham Repertory Theatre, Thursday 7th June at 7pm, tickets cost £25 / £15 student.

An Adventure into Advertising & Bighearted Branding!

Friday 9th June – Birmingham Repertory Theatre at 7pm

Friday in the Graphic District will see an amazing line-up of thinkers, designers and creative maestros who are all experts on branding and advertising, hosted by Patrick Burgoyne, Editor of Creative Review. An Adventure into Advertising & Bighearted Branding! will feature Jack Renwick, Trevor Beattie, Jim Sutherland and Marina Willer.

This event will be held at theBirmingham Repertory Theatre, Friday 8th June at 7pm, tickets cost £25 / £15 student.

Future Interfaces

Friday 8th June – The Old Library Digbeth at 7pm

Over in the Digital District on Friday the event Future Interfaces will celebrate the future of user interface design, featuring talented designers Basak Haznedaroglu, Andrew Booth, Sam Munnings and Gemma Kingsley who are all making futuristic UI for film and TV.

This event will be held at The Old Library, Friday 8th June at 7pm, tickets cost £15 / £10 student.
