A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…

We’re delighted to present this very special screening of Solo: A Star Wars Story with an introduction from Andrew Booth (Creative Director BLIND Ltd) and Laura Dishington (Lead Designer on Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Solo: A Star Wars Story and Blade Runner 2049) who collaborated on the film.

The world of Star Wars has a timeless design quality specific to itself and is a language built on the history of artists such as Ralph McQuarrie, Joe Johnston and Harry Lange mixed with George Lucas’ cinematic influences.

With this talk Laura and Andrew will take you on a journey through the creation of the graphic design in the Star Wars universe, and how practical effects complement and enhance the production design to such stunning effect.

The film officially releases 25th May, but you’ll want to save your screening until BDF to hear the story of how collaboration through design can create a captivating tangible universe.

Note: Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstance Laura can no longer make this event. However you’re still in for a treat from Andrew.
